Finding My Business Idea

The first thing you need to do if you want to start a small business online is to generate and analyse a business idea.

Following my own advice, I sat down and had a good look at myself, my skills and interests, and certain aspects of my life, like my family commitments and financial situation, to try and identify a business idea that I could turn into a viable business model.

More difficult than you might think when you consider my personality.

Most things I try to do, I find I am reasonably good at, that is not false modesty - it is just the way it is. But being able to do just about anything is less of an advantage than you might think! If you had to make a choice between one or two options, the task may not be easy, just think what it would be like if you had to choose between ten, or twenty, or even thirty!

And then there is another problem, even though I can do just about anything, there is not much that will hold my interest for long.
