Small Business for DummiesPublished by: Wiley Publishing Inc. As with other books in the Dummies series, Small Business for Dummies attempts to offer explanations to new entrepreneurs in this how to guide using plain English, and in my opinion, it does a pretty good job of it. Topics covered include:
The part of tens is a feature of many of the for dummies books and in this case it includes ten tips for home-based businesses, ten ways computers can aid your small business and ten tips for managing your growing business. This book goes further than most 'start a business' books as it also provides the budding entrepreneur with information on how to run the business after you have opened the doors. It touches on details of all of the various roles a small business owner must be able to manage, like business administration (outsourcing, bookkeeping, dealing with stakeholders etc), basic marketing, managing the relationships with your customers and managing your cash flows. The information is provided in an easy to follow and makes good use of check lists, icons and navigational aids throughout the text. If you are looking for a good general text to help you while you are coping with the very steep learning curve involved in starting your own business, this book would be a good choice. ![]() Small Business for Dummies, Second Edition
