Newsletters are mailed to existing customers and prospects on a regular basis, and according to Jay Conrad Levinson (Guerrilla Marketing: Secrets for Making Big Profits from Your Small Business (Guerrilla Marketing) Levinson's Guidelines for publishing a newsletter:
Distributing Your NewsletterOnce you have finalized your newsletter, you need to get it out there! You have a number of low cost options for distributing your newsletters. You could try giving one to each customer at the point of sale, letterbox drops, leaving them on windscreens (personally, I find this annoying), mailing them to the prospects on your mailing list, asking your current customers to give them to friends, acquaintances, colleagues etc, or you could hand them out at a trade show or expo. Need Other Promotional Ideas? If newsletters are not quite right for your small business, you might want to check out some of the other pages on promotional materials, such as flyers or brochures, direct marketing sales letters or business cards and elevator speeches.
